Click to Delete
In our daily lives, most of us are familiar with the delete button on our computer keyboard. We use it to delete our junk mailbox, get rid of emails that we have read and no longer have use for, and get rid of useless or outdated information. But, something else happens when we click delete… we help our computer to run better, to perform the tasks we need, faster and more efficiently. We have cleared all the accumulated, unwanted information from its memory.
Is there a lesson we can learn from this? You bet there is!
If we learn how to use our own “delete” button, we can function more efficiently. We can achieve more, feel more positive and create the better life we seek. The secret lies in recognizing those things in our life we need to delete so they don’t take up permanent residence. Here are a few things that will help you move toward that better life. So next time someone says something negative about you, your abilities, your options, your dreams, your achievements, then just CLICK “DELETE.” Send them into cyberspace, don’t let them determine who you are or what you can become.
Next time someone does something to annoy you, hurt you, insult you or try to get you angry, just CLICK “DELETE.” Treat them like the junk mail they are. Don’t allow them to see they have “gotten’ under your skin.”
Next time you hear someone talk negatively about your friends, associates, or boss, just CLICK “DELETE.” Let their words fall into the garbage bin. Don’t allow their opinions of others to dominate you. Instead, develop your own relationships and form your own opinions.
Create a BETTER ife …….. Learn how to click “DELETE”!
A Bit Harsh, I Thought
“Push harder!” I shouted at my wife while she was in labour. “I hate you, I hate you more than I’ve ever hated anyone!” she screamed back at me. That’s a bit harsh; I thought… it wasn’t my fault the car broke down on the way to the hospital.

A Small Kindness
While riding a train in China, a young woman noticed a little girl watching her. Realizing that the glitter on her cheeks so fascinated the little girl, she asked the girl’s parents if she could put some on her. A few minutes later, the parents said that the little girl was mute and severely disabled. After the glitter had been applied, the little girl’s face lit up in a big smile, as did the parents’ faces. It was then that the young woman found out that this was the first time the little girl had ever smiled.
We never know what joy and blessings we may give with a small act of kindness.
