The Serendipities of a Positive Mental Attitude
Many people underestimate the benefits of developing a Positive Mental Attitude.
A positive mental attitude is how we think and feel about ourselves and the world around us. Positive people are optimistic and resilient and approach challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. The importance of a positive mental attitude cannot be overstated; it has far-reaching effects on mental and physical health, relationships, and quality of life.
For starters, a positive mental attitude is critical for mental health. It is associated with lower levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. In addition, maintaining a positive outlook on life makes us less likely to dwell on negative thoughts and experiences that contribute to developing mental health disorders. Plus, a positive attitude will increase our self-esteem, motivation, and confidence, which will help us to overcome challenges and achieve our goals.
Next, a positive mental attitude can have significant benefits for physical health. Studies show that positive people have lower rates of heart disease, stroke, and other chronic illnesses. A positive attitude is associated with healthy lifestyle behaviours such as exercise, healthy eating, and avoiding harmful substances like tobacco and alcohol. Additionally, individuals with a positive attitude can better cope with pain and illness, leading to improved recovery outcomes.
Thirdly, a positive mental attitude can improve relationships. People are naturally drawn to positive individuals. Positive attitudes make establishing and maintaining meaningful connections easier and help individuals communicate effectively, constructively resolving conflicts with others, leading to more robust and healthier relationships.
In Summary, maintaining a positive mental attitude is essential for overall well-being. It can improve mental and physical health, enhance relationships, and increase success in achieving one’s goals. Practicing positivity can be challenging, but it is a skill that can be developed through consistent effort and a willingness to see the good in oneself and others.

Ham Sandwich with Mustard…
As ham sandwiches go, it was perfection. A thick slab of ham, a fresh bun, crisp lettuce and plenty of expensive, light brown, gourmet mustard. The corners of my jaw aching in anticipation, I carried it to the picnic table in our backyard. I picked it up with both hands but was stopped by my wife, who suddenly appeared at my side. “Hold Johnny (our six-week-old son) while I get my sandwich,” she said.
I had him balanced between my left elbow and shoulder and was reaching again for the ham sandwich when I noticed a streak of mustard on my fingers. I love mustard.
I had no napkin. I licked it off. It was NOT mustard! No man ever put a baby down faster. It was the first and only time I had sprinted with my tongue protruding. With a washcloth in each hand, I did the sort of routine a shoeshine boy does, only I did it on my tongue. Later my wife said, “Now you know why they call that mustard ‘Poupon.’

The Hangover:
Following a very heavy night out with his buddies, Jerry wakes up at home the following morning with the mother of all hangovers. His head is banging, and as he forces his eyes to open, he sees a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the bedside table waiting for him. Sitting up in bed, he notices his clothing in front of him, all clean and freshly pressed.
Jerry looks around the room and sees everything in perfect order and spotlessly clean. He wanders downstairs with the water and aspirins still in his hand. He notices a note on the living room coffee table that reads, “Honey, breakfast is on the stove. I left early to go shopping. Love you.” Jerry walks into the kitchen, and sure enough, a hot breakfast is waiting for him, as well as the morning newspaper.
His son is sitting at the kitchen table, eating his breakfast. “Son, do you know what happened last night?” Jerry inquires. “Yes, I do,” his son responds. “You came home after 3 am. You were drunk out of your mind, and you could barely stand.” “Really?” says Jerry. “Yes, really!” said his son. “You also broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door.” At this point, Jerry is feeling a bit confused. He thinks momentarily and then asks, “So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?” “Oh, that?” says his son, “Well, when mom dragged you to the bedroom and tried to undress you, you kept shouting, “Lady, leave me alone, I’m married’.”
Suspense

At the end of the party, they both staggered outside. One guy crossed the street while the other stumbled into a subway entrance. When the 1st guy reached the other side of the road, he noticed the other emerging from the subway stairs. “Where ya been?” he slurred.
“I don’t know,” gushed the other guy, “but you should see the train set that guy has in his basement!
No More Nail-biting…

“How?”
‘’I hid his teeth!”
