Dreams: The Power Within
Success in life starts with a dream: business or professional, relationships, personal achievement, as a spouse or parent – it all starts here. A dream is a vision of what you want to achieve, where you want to go and the direction you choose. It will determine how others view you, how you view others, and yourself. The power of a dream will propel you towards the goals you seek.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said;
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
A dream helps us overcome fears, put everything in focus and increase our confidence. It will create new opportunities, open your mind to positive thoughts. Allow you to become a leader, and fill you with the energy and enthusiasm that propels you into action. These actions will lead you on the path to fulfilling your dreams. A dream will allow you to see a picture of it in your mind,
All these things, and more, are set into motion because you have a dream. Choose your dream, and your dream will choose your future. The bigger your dream, the greater will be the momentum on the way to achieving the dream. YOUR DREAM.
We don’t have to look very far to find examples of the power contained in a dream – our world is full of them. There are many examples of the great success achieved by overcoming all the obstacles, doubters and naysayers placed in their path to get them to abandon their dreams. Dreamers thrive on the challenge.

Contemplating Retirement
As I was lying in bed pondering the world’s problems, I soon realized that I didn’t really care. It’s the tortoise life for me.
- If walking/cycling is good for your health, the mailman would be immortal.
- A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat.
- A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.
- A tortoise doesn’t run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years.
And you tell me to exercise? I don’t think so. I’m retired. Go around me!
Did You Know?
A name is born: The caramel-coated popcorn known as Cracker Jack got its name quite by chance. A salesman, trying the product for the first time in 1899, said it was “crackerjack,” meaning very good. The name stuck.
Movers and shakers: Polar bears may be big, but that doesn’t slow them down. They have split-second reactions and can be extremely fast, building to a speed of 30 m.p.h. over a short distance.
Appropriate music: Legend has it that when gangster Jack Zuta was visited by Al Capone’s hitmen, the shots fired sent Zuta crashing into a coin-operated piano. The piano started playing “Good For You, Bad For Me.”

Three Parrots
A man goes into a pet shop to buy a parrot. The shop owner points to three identical-looking parrots on a perch and says, “The parrot on the left costs $500.””Why does the parrot cost so much?” asks the man. The owner says, “Well, the parrot knows how to use a computer. “The man then asks about the next parrot. He learns that it costs $1,000 because it can do everything the first parrot can do, plus it knows how to use the UNIX operating system. Naturally, the increasingly startled man asks about the third parrot, only to be told that it costs $2,000.Needless to say, this begs the question, “What can it do? “The owner replies, “To be honest, I have never seen it do anything, but the other two call him boss!”
The String
A string walks into a bar, and the bartender goes, “Sorry, we don’t serve strings here.” The string walks out all sad and defeated, then has a great idea. He ties himself in a bow, cuts off his ends to look all pretty, and struts back into the bar. The bartender looks at him and goes, “Hey, aren’t you that string I turned away before?” and the string goes, “Nope! I’m a frayed knot!”
